Bethany is good in chaos. Not calm-in-a-crisis in the way people put on a website, actually steady when everything is on fire, in a way that lets you stop holding it together for a minute because someone else in the room clearly is.
She's not going to tell you what to do. If you're in something that's hurting you and you're not ready to leave, she won't spend the hour talking you toward the door. What she will do is name plainly what's happening to you, and keep naming it, until you can see it clearly enough to decide for yourself. People stay in hard situations for real reasons. She takes those reasons seriously.
She's also unusually good with neurodivergent kids and teenagers, because she doesn't come in with a plan for who they're supposed to be. If you tell her this isn't working, she doesn't get defensive; she asks what would work instead, and means it.
She's funny, direct, and has opinions. She swears. She'll be wrong out loud and change course without making it a thing.
