Kasi works with grief and trauma, and there is very little she hasn't already heard.
She has spent years in the most intense work the field has to offer. She's worked in a jail unit with violent adolescents. She's worked with the Sex Offender Management Board. If you're carrying something you've decided is too dark to say out loud — the thing you're sure would change how a therapist looked at you — you can bring it here. She won't be shocked, and she won't get careful with you afterward.
She's also unusually good at seeing what's actually going on in a situation. If something in your life is wrong in a way you can't name yet, or you keep explaining away, she tends to spot it early and say so.
None of that reads on her the way you'd expect. She's cheerful, she's easy to be around, and she's not solemn about any of it. People are sometimes surprised that the person who can sit with the worst thing they've ever said is also the one who made them laugh in the same hour.
